Graduating Student Exit Survey (Student Opinion Survey)
A number of offices and services are available to be of assistance to
students as they progress through their programs of study at Davis & Elkins College.
As students near the completion of their programs of study they are
required to complete a "graduating student exit survey." In this process, students are asked
to rate the services that they used, based on their own unique experiences, as well as to provide
written comments about their experiences with these services.
This process provides two opportunities:
- Students have the opportunity to provide candid feedback about their
experiences with the support services provided for them during their tenure,
- The college has the opportunity to collect valuable, informative
feedback directly from the students who have used the services provided and who have
interfaced with the personnel who delivered those services.
This valuable feedback, once collected and collated, is used to assess
services to students. Positive feedback sends a clear message to the college to "keep up
the good work." Negative feedback sends just as clear a message to the college to see
what we can do to improve upon that particular service.
It is critical that students make use of this opportunity to provide
honest, straight-forward feedback to their college community. It is through these kinds of
contributions that the college will secure meaningful services to and for its students.
