& Opportunities
Davis & Elkins College provides a rich intellectual
community where students and faculty can work together to further
individual and collaborative research. Each year, the College hosts
numerous guest lecturers and academic conferences, including the
Phipps Lectureship in Religion and Philosophy, Writers’ Week,
the Undergraduate Scholarly and Creative Activities Conference,
the West Virginia Shakespeare and Renaissance Association, and others.
In addition, Davis & Elkins is home to the Augusta Heritage
Center and the Elkins Shakespeare Festival—extended opportunities
for intensive study of the folk and theatre arts.
