Visit Davis & Elkins College
The best way to know what goes on here is to experience it first-hand in a visit. Plan to stay a day or two so you can enjoy dorm life overnight. Attend a D&E class; maybe a typical first-year overview course. Meet with a student or several—no one else can give you a straighter story. Talk with a professor; you’ll get a taste of what D&E learning is like. Tour the campus and meet with an admissions counselor. Ask questions and find out what’s important here. It’s the best way to feel out if our values and style match yours.
Come for one of our scheduled Open Houses, or schedule your own personal visit. When you schedule a personal visit, we will arrange for you:
- An interview with the admissions counselor for your area
- A tour with a student ambassador to see our facilities
- The opportunity to speak with members of the faculty and attend a class
- An overnight stay in a residence hall
- Passes for a meal in the dining room
- Tickets to attend an athletic, cultural or social event on campus
We will be happy to send you directions and suggest accommodations on campus or in the community. Our campus lodging facilities include the Gatehouse, Graceland (a country inn), and a modern conference center. We are happy to accommodate a visit at any time convenient to you, but the best time is when classes are in session.
