Bachelor of Arts in
Marketing
Marketing may be viewed from the standpoint of the total economy,
the business firm, the consumer, or society as a whole. The program
at Davis & Elkins College involves all these. By doing so, it
provides a broader and better understanding of what the role of
marketing is today.
Some of the great issues in marketing such as understanding the
needs of consumers, trends in the market place, competitor’s
activities, research, growth opportunities, evaluating the overall
effectiveness of marketing, improving marketing productivity, product
and service innovation, and rethinking the marketing concept are
involved in the courses.
Students are well prepared for the diversity of marketing opportunities
such as purchasing, marketing research, sales, managing, product
managing, public relations, advertising, retailing, consulting,
and manufacturing. Traditional as well as non-traditional organizations
have created numerous challenges and opportunities for those in
marketing.
