Department Philosophy
The English
program at Davis and Elkins College encourages
students to explore their interests in literature and creative writing, while
learning essential writing skills and pursuing a comprehensive degree that
will prepare them for a variety of professional fields.
The Communication
program at Davis and Elkins College is a valuable component
of the liberal arts tradition; built on a strong social science foundation,
it helps students understand one of the most basic elements of being human-
communication.
The Foreign Language
program at Davis and Elkins College enriches the academic
experience by promoting cultural awareness through the study of other languages
