Bachelors of Arts Degree in Art
An art curriculum fosters in students the ability to systematically explore the world of aesthetic
knowledge and contributes to the understanding of world culture and heritage. Studio Art courses
provide in depth study in selective media, techniques and processes that engage students in the
creative process. Art History gives the students the opportunity to study the art of various
cultures and times to develop a critical eye to judge their own work and the work of others. The
program objectives are to provide a basic background for a professional career in art or the teaching
of art and to provide preparation for graduate study.
