Workforce Enrichment Team
The Workforce Enrichment Team (W.E.T.), established in 2004, is made up of representatives
from all areas of the campus including Parkhurst, Sodexho, the bookstore, and the student body. The group meets
approximately once a month. Meetings are held at different campus locations to help members familiarize themselves
with other operations of the college. The purpose of W.E.T. is to recommend and initiate ways to improve the work
environment through better attitude, communication, and awareness.
W.E.T. has established a number of plans
and goals which include:
- Phone training for staff - both in equipment use and in proper etiquette;
- A New Employee Orientation;
- Better ways to acknowledge employees who may be experiencing illness, death in the family,
or a happy new addition in their family;
- Communication improvements utilizing both print and web-based means to better inform all on
campus of important topics and events; and,
- A Wellness Program for the campus community
