Facilities

The Memorial Gymnasium, erected in 1951, contains offices and classrooms for physical education, the Human Performance Lab, and space and facilities for a well-rounded program for athletic activities including intramurals and intercollegiate sports.

The McDonnell Center for Health, Physical Education, and Athletics features a 1200-seat arena, two practice courts, an indoor walking and jogging track, the D&E Athletic Hall of Fame, dedicated locker rooms for basketball and volleyball, and multi-sport suites that will accommodate men’s and women’s field sports, physical education classes, and visiting teams. An athletic training suite, officials’ rooms, a laundry and generous storage areas also are included on the first floor. Additional construction will create space for classrooms, offices for faculty and coaches, and a library/conference room on the second floor.
