Dr. Brian W. Moudry (1995), Professor of Mathematics & Physics has a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Nebraska. His doctoral dissertation was in the field of low energy ion atom collisions. Since coming to D&E, he has focussed much of his energy on physics education. He has been awarded several grants to enhance science knowledge among school age girls as well as in service teachers. His Saturday Science program ran for several years as well as another program, Summer Science Experience, for middle school and high school girls. Although these programs do not run every year, they may be reinstituted in the future. Dr. Moudry is also personally interested in promoting good scientific thinking and dispelling any claims that fall under the area of pseudoscience. When not teaching, he enjoys following his favorite sports team (The Huskers!), riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his wife and daughter. Email Dr. Moudry. 304-637-1381
