Careers in Psychology

Human Services is a generic term that encompasses a bewildering array of service delivery systems and target populations. Our graduates are well prepared for entry level work across the range of them and in fact are quite successful in obtaining positions. The student who is interested in a career is advised to pursue graduate study that leads to licensure. This is typically a Master's degree in counseling that leads to the Licensed Professional Counselor license, or the MSW that leads to the Clinical Social Work license. Some students continue on to doctoral work usually in a helping discipline.
