Student Support Services

Career, Academic, and Personal Services (CAPS) Office, Available for all students, Career, Academic, and Personal Services are offered through the CAPS Office. The central office for the CAPS Center is located on the second floor of Randolph Hall (extension 1290). Available services include:

Academic Support Services, which provide study skills assistance and tutorial services as well as an academic skills program and an academic warning program.

Career Services, which help to equip students for the transition to a professional life beyond college, including graduate studies and career counseling. Students are encouraged to begin career planning as freshmen, so that by senior year they are well on their way toward a meaningful life goal.

Personal Counseling Services, which provide confidential personal counseling to assist with the growth and development of students attending Davis & Elkins College. Brief workshops dealing with specific topics of interest are offered as well.

Supported Learning Program, which provides individual support to college students with specific learning disabilities. To participate in the Supported Learning Program, a student must meet the admission requirements of the college and complete a separate application to the program. The program is fee based and accepts only a limited number of students.
