A vital part of the liberal arts is participation. Club sports, concerts, outdoor activities—there’s lot of competition for your attention at D&E. So hit the books, hard, but don’t forget how important activities and leadership opportunities are too. The fact is, employers are likely to care less about your major than about the abilities you bring to the tasks at hand. They want proof of energy, enthusiasm, and a team-player orientation, as well as the ability to work independently, a willingness to contribute, a can-do attitude.
